~Jewish Bloggers Webring~
This is a webring for Jewish bloggers. There are two main requirements to join. You must be Jewish. You must have a blog, weblog, and/or online journal/diary.
This webring is for everyone who considers themselves Jewish. If you feel you're Jewish, then you are. It doesn't matter if you are Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, Modern Orthodox, Traditional, or Reconstructionist. I am not going to quiz you on your family history. It doesn't matter which of your parents were Jewish, or if you converted.
Obviously, no sites with anti-Semitic content. If you're self-loathing, seek help.
The HTML ring code should be placed on the same page as your blog to make it easy for travellers to find.
I cannot be on every site every day, so if any member of the ring sees a site in the ring they feel is in violation of the simple restrictions above, or if you find a broken link in the ring, please call it to my attention.
Question: I've filled out the form, but my site isn't in the ring yet!
Possible Reasons:
- When you fill out the form, the site gets placed into a queue. It isn't added to the ring immediately. The administrator (me) has to first check to make sure the site exists, and that the ring code is on the page, before moving it.
- I try to process the queue in a timely manner, but occasionally it can take a couple days. Please be patient.
- If you have not added the ring code to the blog/journal the site will not be added. I will give you several weeks to insert the code, but I tend to delete sites that have been in the queue for over a month, and still do not have the ring code in them. If you do not receive the ring code in the mail once you submit the form, feel free to ask me for it.
- Obviously, if you submit someone else's site for them, and don't tell them, the ring code will never be added to the page. So if you spot a cool blog you think would be perfect for the ring, let the blogger know, so they can submit the form on their own. Don't do it for them; thanks.
- I don't have a problem if you place the ring code on a separate page just for rings, but make sure the link to that page from the blog is obvious. Or use the URL for the ring page in the form. We don't want travellers on the ring to get lost.
- Either enter the URL for the blog itself, or for the page where the ring code is located. Don't enter the URL for your homepage, and make the person find your blog. For if your site makes it too difficult to travel the ring, I will not add the site.
- If none of these reasons seem to apply, and your blog is still sitting in the queue, let me know. I'll try to find out what the problem is, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
